Of niet natuurlijk. Als je het hele weekend op de bank wilt liggen, snappen wij dat ook wel.

Stay strong!!! 🏋🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️ As a big “thank you” to all of you for the love and support you’ve given me, I am going to be leading a live video this Saturday right here. For this upcoming at home workout session you will need just a pair of circular bands (the small ones) and your warm body. My bands are by @hopefitnessgear and part of their proceeds go towards helping our youth fight back against illness.. It’s a great cause! Please tag someone who needs this motivation 💕💕 It’ll be about half an hour, and a sweaty one. 💦💦 I’ll be doing all the exercises with you, huffing and puffing away. Don’t be afraid to join me. Make it a family affair. Remember I have a bad knee, a bad shoulder, and lately even my left butt cheek has been acting up. 🤪 that’s the joys of getting a wee bit older. Anyways, if I can do it, YOU can do it! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 See you at 8 am EDT (TORONTO/NYC time), this April 18th. . Outfit: @womensbest pink seamless 💕💕 #fitover70 #homeworkout #womensbestwear

Op die leeftijd kreeg Joan namelijk last van allerlei ouderdomskwaaltjes en daar zat ze totaal niet op te wachten. Zo begon haar transformatie

Let’s talk about gym style, something I never would have considered to be important even just two years ago... When I first started out on my transformation journey, I hated trying on clothes, and in fact most of my clothes barely fit me any more so I had just a few bottoms and tops to choose from. Baggy shorts and over-sized t-shirts in boring colors were my go-to. I didn’t love myself back then and that’s how I dressed myself. I used to think 1) I didn’t deserve beautiful clothes and 2) nothing nice would fit me anyway, especially at my age. It wasn’t until my daughter insisted that I buy some new workout clothes and took me shopping at @forever21 that I understood that that mindset wasn’t working for me. When I saw myself in flattering clothes in cute colors, I could see that my inner dialogue had to go. I actually had muscles! I actually had a good shape taking form! I felt so good inside to see that in those new clothes. 💛Even though it might seem like something superficial like clothing can’t have a big impact on how we see ourselves it absolutely can my dears! If I can learn that lesson in my seventies you can too. Now you won’t catch me heading to the gym (or my living room as the case may be 😅) without taking the time to chose a favorite outfit. My daughter tells her clients, “you have to invest the same love and compassion for yourself at the START of your transformation that would to your own daughter if she was in your shoes. You would encourage her, compliment her on her successes no matter how small, and you would treat her to some workout clothes that were flattering, wouldn’t you? So learn to do that for yourself, and replace that negative inner dialogue with a positive one”. Now I’m sharing this with you. 💕 Please don’t wait til you’re “perfect” to take pride in yourself. You have to already see your perfection, your effort and your courage today. Love yourself enough to change, and show yourself that love daily. On the right I’m wearing one of my favorite outfits by @womensbest . If you have any questions please ask below, and share your favorite gym-wear brands with each other! With Love Joan 💗 . #womenbest #womensbestwear

Romanian Deadlifts! 😅😅 I do these to help strengthen my backside and really tone up my muscles. These are very hard, no doubt about it, and they aren’t easy to do right so I do recommend working with a professional. 🙏 I know I am very lucky to have a daughter and a son-in-law who are at the top of their fields. Every time I come down to Tulum to their gym I learn something new. 👵🏼 Here are my tips for mastering this exercise: 1) think of really tightening up your back and squeeze the back of your armpits, just like you are trying to stop someone from tickling you ☺️ 2) get a nice, tight tummy and fill it up with air before you begin. I hold my breath as I lift the weight and only take a quick sip when I’m at the top 3)keep that bar on your legs! @jeanjacquesbarrett and @yourhealthyhedonista are really strict on that. If the bar starts leaving my legs, I can start to feel it in my back. 😬 4) really keep the back from rounding. I am thinking of keeping a “proud chest”. I have a naturally rounded back from old age but I’m hoping that with this exercise and others I can prevent it from getting worse. My own mother had a real “dowagers” back so I guess it’s partly hereditary. I’m no expert. Like you guys I’m trying to keep learning and to keep getting better. I work with people who really know what they are doing and I trust them to have my health as a top priority. I recommend that you also work with professionals. I know it is so hard to find reliable help theses days but word of mouth is a wonderful thing. If you want to tag someone who you feel would be a good coach or trainer for people, please do so and list the area they work in and the gym they work at. A little community effort can go a long way. 💕💕 . My favorite @womensbest pink seamless outfit Knee sleeves are by @sbdapparel . #girlswholift #girlswhopowerlift #bodybuilding #fitover70

3 years ago I began this long, slow journey and now I realize that there really isn’t any end to it. Each day I move in a direction based on my choices. Each month is a new milestone. Each year I seem to have changed so completely I think I can’t change any more and yet I do.💕💕 At this point, I truly realize that we are limitless. At any moment we can make a decision to change. No matter how difficult or challenging life is, we must remain steadfast in our aim and keep inching forward. When I got started I never imagined I’d be where I am today. I just wanted to get my health back and get off my medication. Each door we step through leads to another door and then another. I hope you all keep choosing to grow! To learn to love yourself, take the best care of yourself, and dare to dream and love with your whole heart again.🙏🙏 . Pink outfit by @womensbest . . #transformation #hope #justdoit.

Here is my training session from today here at @anytimefitnesscobourg with my daughter @yourhealthyhedonista . Training the glutes properly has really helped me to be stronger overall. I didn’t realize that they are the biggest muscle group in the body and responsible for so much involving movement. Did you??😅😅 . Michelle, @jeanjacquesbarrett and I are working very hard on getting our first ebook out for the New Year! Michelle is here with me taking more videos, and we just finished outlining what I feel will be a great meal plan for beginners who want to eat like I did to lose the weight I lost. I will be demonstrating all the exercises in the workouts in the ebook as well, because remember, If I can do it, YOU can do it!! 💕💕🙌🏻🙌🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻 There is nothing special about me. I’m just a woman in my seventies who decided to listen, get help, and make some changes. I hope you will all have a marvelous new year of HEALTH and great, great happiness. If there is anything in particular you would like to see me do next please let me know. 🙏🙏 With love Joan .... . #fitover70 #glutes #inspo #fitspo #agingbackwards #silverhair #mastersathlete #trainwithjoan #tscathlete #yhhwoman #girls who lift #girlswithmuscle #bossbabe.
